Read this customer story to see how Lisle Community Unit School Distict (CUSD) 202 was able to meet their COVID-19 safety and scheduling needs for their hybrid learning program.

“CrisisGo has provided comfort in an unstable time, we look forward to continuing to make the safety of our building a priority.”

Jim O'Hara

Dean of Students

The Challenge

As schools across the country have prepared for adapting their school safety protocols for COVID-19, Lisle Community Unit School District (CUSD) 202 in Illinois also needed a way to provide a safe and healthy learning environment. In addition to looking for a safe way to allow a portion of the student population back to school for in-person learning, the district was also interested in creating custom schedules for students based on the school’s needs.

The Solution

Lisle High School signed on with CrisisGo for the 2019-2020 school year primarily to improve our communication during school emergencies like hard lockdowns. The district was extremely pleased with the significant improvement they experienced in their overall communication. Coming into the unknown of the 2020-2021 school year, the district decided to utilize CrisisGo’s Safety iPass to protect the safety of the staff and students by managing the district’s certification and entry process.

By utilizing Safety iPass for managing their COVID-19 school safety protocols, Lisle CUSD 202 was able to:

  • Create custom student schedules to accommodate all learning models.
  • Provide a quick and reliable method for allowing staff and students to be pre-certified.
  • Safely and efficiently manage the entry process for in-person learning.

The Results

According to Jim O'Hara, Dean of Students for Lisle CUSD 202, the school district found success in using Safety IPass as they returned this school year to mitigate the safety risks and require all of their staff and students to certify their health prior to entering the building. Although the district does not have their full population back in the building, Lisle CUSD2 has been able to create multiple schedules to allow certain students to enter the building on different given days.

O’Hara also informed that parents have found the process to be extremely easy, and he thinks Safety iPass is a positive step to keeping their community safe while bringing their students back into the building for in-person education.
